The Next Great Apprentice is YMA’ premier 3-round case competition where 50 of Schulich’s best marketers compete to develop consumer-centric solutions for real brand problems. In pairs, 50 pre-screened contestants apply their analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills to solve a new brand challenge presented by the round’s sponsor. Only the best teams progress through the 3 rounds until the final remaining team is crowned The Next Great Apprentice.
Market Yourself 101 (MY101) focuses on giving students the tools and ability to craft their own unique personal brand. Pre-screened students will also have an opportunity to build relationships with representatives through 1-on-1 speed networking sessions and get advice on their career related questions from a professional in the industry.

Our Annual Conference is by far our biggest event, uniting marketing students all across the province. Students have the chance to listen to world-class speakers, attend workshops, compete in a case competition and acquire both the knowledge and network they need to succeed in the industry. Our annual conference takes place over 2 days, with the second day held externally in downtown Toronto. We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries this year, and providing both our corporate representatives and delegates with the utmost value.
A brand competition that challenges first year students to apply problem solving and critical thinking skills to real marketing and sales problems, with the support of a designated YMA mentor. In the initial preliminary application, students can showcase their communication skills through a sales pitch. Successful applicants will work in teams to present their ideas to build brands of start-up companies in front of judges.
Marketing360 is our signature kick-off event that gives students a 360-view of the opportunities and career paths that the world of marketing and sales has to offer. We bring in a panel of notable YMA alumni that share their insights and experiences while answering any questions our members may have. Following this, our alumni will host intimate workshops to simulate what their role entails on a typical day - giving students a chance to think like a true marketer.
